Tasks and Objectives

Center of Excellence's Tasks and Objective

  1. Research in the field of carbon and Benzoin includes synthesis, production, development, and carbon products, namely: graphite, graphene, N-graphene and its alloys (graphitic carbon, transition and non-transition metals as well as rare earth metals).
  2. Improve the performance and application of carbon and Benzoin in various applications (batteries, fuel cells, adsorbents, polymers and chemicals).
  3. Collaborate with research institutions at home and abroad as well as the business world in the commercialization and application of carbon and Benzoin products).
  4. Research and Development hub for scientists, students and the business world in North Sumatra, Indonesia and Internationally in the field of Carbon and Benzoin.
  1. A forum for lecturers, researchers, students and the business world in the field of carbon and Benzoin to collaborate in developing carbon at the University of North Sumatra.
  2. Strengthen the organization to maintain top research and educational activities in the field of Carbon and Benzoin towards a Science and Technology Campus (STC).
  3. Lead the Carbon Industry through the creation of innovations in collaboration with industry and research institutions.
  4. Build national and international networks of research results in the field of Carbon and Benzoin with industries, state-owned enterprises, research institutions and national and international universities.
  5. Build a management system for carbon, Nano-Carbon Composites and Functional Benzoin/Compound Blending.
  6. Creation of resin/rubber/nano-carbon composites with chemical, physical and mechanical processes.
  7. Approach for new nano-carbon applications.
  8. Application of carbon to new energy storage devices.
  9. Application of carbon to electrical or electronic devices.
  10. Application of carbon for biological uses.
  11. Analysis of nano-carbon behavior in composite liquids.
  12. Application of nano-carbon composites to advanced battery systems and practical use placements.
  13. Application of nano-carbon composites to low-energy consumption electrical devices or laminated electronic devices.
  14. Application of naono-carbon metal composites for medical bio uses and applications for chemical, biological and physical applications.
